--Non-Profit resources available to fire safe councils
The California Fire Safe Council launched its series of workshops this past October geared toward non-profit assistance. The first workshop, “Governing for What Matters”, was well-attended by local fire safe councils at one of the three locations across California.
If you would like to purchase materials from this workshop or to be included in the new online blog/network tool available only to attendees, please contact Alli Shetler at 1-866-372-2543 or by email allisiashetler1@verizon.net. We are happy to help local fire safe councils communicate and share information in this new forum. All are encouraged to join in.
The next series of workshops, “Sustainability for your Fire Prevention Efforts” will begin in April 2008. We will hold four workshops across the state which willl cover questions such as:
How can we stop living from grant to grant? How can we sustain the work we know we need to do? How can we find support that doesn’t have strings attached?
Registration and materials will be posted at www.firesafecouncil.org. Sign-up early for this workshop, it is sure to be popular.
